Thornlands Toad Busting is a relaxed, voluntary community activity. Participation is entirely optional, and individuals take part at their own pace and at their own risk.
The group does not provide formal training or supervision. From time to time, volunteers may observe how other participants choose to catch cane toads (for example, using litter pickers), and organisers may share general information about areas where toads have recently been seen, such as near fences, drains, or ponds.
This information is provided as general guidance only. Each person decides independently whether, where, and how they choose to participate.
Native frogs are protected wildlife and must not be harmed. If you are ever unsure whether an animal is a cane toad, please do not handle it.
